The psychometric assessment system that started to be implemented in recent years is applied under the name PACE. This test aims to measure the technical competencies of candidates and is carried out within the body of THY Flight Training Presidency. The application period takes an average of 5–6 hours. This test consists of 2 knowledge and 7 ability modules.
Ability modules are intended to evaluate the basic cognitive and psychomotor skills that a pilot should have. In this context, critical competencies such as spatial perception, memory, psychomotor and attention coordination are measured.
The main modules included in the evaluation process are as follows:
Knowledge modules are intended to evaluate the basic Mathematics and Physics levels of candidates. These modules measure analytical thinking skills and the level of understanding of basic scientific knowledge.
The main modules included in the evaluation process are as follows:
The THY PACE Exam consists of a total of 9 modules. The exam is completed in three main parts with 10-minute breaks between each, conducted in accordance with PACE pilot test standards.

Analytical thinking ability, basic mathematical operations, and aviation-focused problem-solving skills. It is necessary for operational tasks such as flight planning and fuel calculation.

It measures the theoretical and practical application level of mechanics, thermodynamics, and basic physics principles. It explores the basic scientific background required to understand flight principles.

It measures the capacity to perceive and remember visual and auditory information simultaneously. This module simulates how effectively candidates manage multiple information flows in the cockpit environment.

It evaluates the retention of numerical information in short-term memory and its correct recall. It is directly related to the ability to keep air traffic controller (ATC) instructions in mind.

It evaluates the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and perform mental transitions effectively. It measures the functioning of the rapid decision-making mechanism.

The Sustained Attention module measures candidates' ability to maintain attention levels over long periods and to notice and react to subtle changes in stimuli in time. It is a critical skill for aviation safety.

It evaluates the ability to correctly analyze direction, position, and movement relationships. It is critical for the ability to correctly interpret the aircraft's position in space via instruments.

It measures hand-eye coordination and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (multi-tasking). It evaluates the joystick control precision and attention distribution of the pilot candidate.

It measures the perception of objects in three-dimensional space and the interpretation of positional relationships. The candidate's ability to rotate objects mentally and create perspective is evaluated.

Congratulations teacher 😊🙏 By the way, you made a huge contribution, Mr. Kerem, I offer my sincere thanks to you. You have made a wonderful application!
I passed Pegasus recently. The AvioTest application I tried during this process provided benefits beyond my expectations. I can say that I found the contents that overlap one-to-one with the modules in the exam here. Especially in terms of module logic, task combinations and tempo, it was quite close to the exam experience. I wanted to share it when I saw such a laborious work. I think it will be beneficial for everyone preparing 🙏
By the way, I mainly prepared for the CASE exam aptitude modules using AvioTest and passed with a high score. All aptitude modules were almost 100% identical to the real exam. As a candidate who has previously experienced and passed DLR and Mollymawk exams, I would like to congratulate Mr. Kerem for achieving such a high level of similarity to the real exam.
