Time Sharing

The Time Sharing module measures your ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time under time pressure.
Module Description
The test lasts 20 minutes and consists of three parallel tasks: Navigation, Monitoring, and Auditory. This module is designed to assess multitasking, attention distribution, and psychomotor control.
Navigation Task
In this task, you control an aircraft using the Left and Right arrow keys. The aircraft moves from top to bottom.
Your Task
- Guide the aircraft without hitting obstacles.
- Key inputs should be made as if you are viewing the cockpit from inside.
- Continuous Points: You gain points for each second the aircraft continues safely.
You can switch views using the SPACE key. However, navigation controls remain active even when the question screen is active. The aircraft must be controlled at all times.
Monitoring Task
You must watch several instrument gauges. Each gauge has a critical red zone.
Your Task
- When a needle reaches the red zone, press the correct key to correct it.
- Keys used: C – V – B – N
- These keys are placed next to each other on the keyboard for fast input.
• Every second a needle stays in the red zone results in point loss.
• Pressing a key before the needle reaches the red zone is a "false alarm" and causes a larger penalty.
Auditory Task
You listen to spoken numerical questions through headphones. Switch to this task using the SPACE key.
Question Types & Rules
- Types: Repeating numbers, basic arithmetic, percentages, finding largest/smallest numbers.
- Inputs: Use the Numeric Keypad. Press ENTER to submit.
- Use the (+) key to replay the question.
• Pressing ENTER with an empty input is counted as a wrong answer.
• Replaying a question is allowed unlimited times but costs time.
Scoring Summary
- Each correct answer gives positive points.
- Each wrong answer gives negative points.
- There is no priority; all tasks must be managed simultaneously.
